Florida seeks public input on disability managed-care waiver renewal
Florida Medicaid will accept comments November 2 through December 1 on a proposed renewal of its voluntary comprehensive managed-care waiver for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What the record says
Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration announced October 30 that it is seeking public input before submitting a renewal request for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Comprehensive Managed Care (ICMC) Waiver to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The agency describes ICMC as a voluntary program combining Managed Medical Assistance, Long-Term Care waiver services and iBudget waiver services. Its notice lists proposed updates to enrollment projections, participant-direction goals, cost-neutrality estimates, quality-improvement measures and methods for fixing individual problems.
The public comment period runs November 2 through December 1, 2026. Recipients, providers and other interested people can review the waiver materials linked from the agency’s notice and send comments to FLMedicaidWaivers@ahca.myflorida.com, identifying the ICMC waiver renewal request in the subject line.
