New Zealand publishes estimated Parent Resident Visa selection dates
Immigration New Zealand says Parent Resident Visa expression-of-interest holders now have queue-entry and estimated selection information, with quarterly updates planned.
What the record says
Immigration New Zealand announced October 30 that estimated queue-selection dates are available for Parent Resident Visa expressions of interest.
The agency says people with an expression of interest have received information about their queue entry and estimated selection date. The estimates are intended to help applicants and sponsors plan under the hybrid selection process.
About 90% of expressions of interest are expected to be selected from the queue and about 10% through ballot draws. A ballot selection could therefore happen before an estimated queue date.
The agency cautions that estimates may change and says it will update them after quarterly selection rounds. A selected person who receives an invitation to apply has four months to submit the residence application.

Limits and what is not established
An estimated selection date is neither a guaranteed selection nor visa approval. The four-month application period applies only after an invitation to apply.
